Kevin and I don't get very many nights out without Campbell these days, but when we found out the Cubs were in town playing the Padres, we knew we had to make it to a game. Campbell goes to bed sooooo early that we knew she would never make it through the game, so a sweet girl from our church came over to babysit for us. We went to a wonderful mexican restaurant downtown with a patio that looked out at the stadium. It was so nice to enjoy dinner by ourselves.

Road Trip
Thursday we left on our first family road trip to the desert. Kevin's territory includes Palm Desert and he needed to visit a hospital there so we decided to tag along and make a little one night vacay out of it. We stayed at a resort that had a great pool with slides, splash park, lazy river, and a sandy beach area. Truth be told, we only spent a total of about one hour at the pool. By the time we were checked in, ate lunch, and got changed, we were only at the pool for a bit before Campbell's nap was calling.
She looks so ornery in this picture! It was H.O.T. so we just took her little outfit off during lunch.
Her new love-Cheerios! She gets absolutely giddy when she sees them!
We had a great dinner and were able to watch the Lakers game. In the background of this picture you can see another little girl sitting in a highchair at the table right next to ours. Campbell and her looked at each other throughout the entire meal! She LOVES other kids.

Lately..
Campbell has been up to so many new things lately that I have not written about. Since I use this blog as my baby book, I don't want to forget anything! First of all, we have started a new routine of putting her to bed before she falls asleep. We used to rock her and feed her a bottle until she was asleep, and then put her in her crib. Now she can put herself to sleep at night and for naps.
She is also babbling all of the time. We "think" she says DAD, DOG, and HI, but she is just "talking" all of the time, and we act like we know what she's saying.
She's finally moved up to taking a bath in the big bathtub. The blow-up duckie tub just wasn't cutting it anymore!
She now eats three meals a day of baby food and table food, but still gets plenty of bottles too. We ordered her first meal from the children's menu last weekend-pancakes!!!
She is officially INTO EVERYTHING!!! Electric outlets, cords, the wine rack, the fireplace, and pretty much anything she SHOULDN'T touch.
She has graduated from the army crawl and now crawls on her hands and knees.
That has led to her pulling up on everything. It's always a mad dash to keep her from crashing to the ground once she's pulled herself up. She finally got her two front teeth so she now has a total of 7. 4 on top and 3 on bottom
We had to move her up to a bigger carseat. She's still facing backwards for two more months, but her new carseat is A BEAST compared to her little infant seat. She has become very social. I was worried for a while, because she would burst into tears if a stranger even looked at her. Now, she wants to look at everyone and talk to everyone we see, especially kids. We call her our little greeter, because anytime we're out to eat, she has to look at and talk to everyone who comes through the door. And of course, they have to stop and talk to her too!
We love every minute of being Campbell's Mommy and Daddy!!!

Baby Ava
Our sweet friends from church,Susan and Kevin, had precious Baby Ava last Thursday. Kevin is actually the pastor of our church, and Ava is their 4TH child, and they are OUR age!!! They are awesome and we are so thankful to have met them and be a part of their church!!!
Campbell was A MESS while we were visiting them-ALL.OVER.THE.PLACE! It was really neat though because it was our first time back to the hospital where Campbell was born. We even got to see the nurse that delivered her.
Ava came a few weeks early so needless to say, she made an appearance at her own baby shower. Here are some pictures from the shower.

New Jeep and New Glasses
Campbell has already outgrown her last walker. The poor thing was practically walking on her knees in it, so we made this little purchase. She loves the independence she has roaming around the house in her new "Jeep Renegade" walker!
