Halloween

We decided last minute to go to a fall festival that was put on by the church where Campbell goes to preschool. It was the perfect event for little kids and the weather was beautiful.

Campbell was so excited to see this little hillbilly golf game that she had learned to play while tailgating at the OSU game.

OSU Homecoming

We were so excited to take the kids to their very first OSU football game. We made the trip to my mom and dad's house on Friday so we could get up bright and early on Saturday and head to Stillwater.

We got some sweet pictures in my mom's little wagon of pumpkins.

Campbell and Aiden always have the BEST time together!

It was a little chilly at the homecoming parade, but we all enjoyed it.

After the parade, we headed over to campus to meet up with our friends and tailgate before the game. The kids had so much fun running around and playing together.

A Morning With Our Family

I always want to be able to look back and remember this season of life with 2 precious little kids. This is what we do every morning. Cannon still has a bottle first thing in the morning when he wakes up. He is completely switched to whole milk, but he still has 3 little bottles a day: 1 first thing in the morning, 1 before nap time, and 1 before bedtime. He is completely capable of holding his bottle himself, but we still sit on the couch with him in the morning and feed him his bottle. I'm sure this ritual won't last much longer, but it's one I really enjoy. :)

Princess Jasmine the fish.
She is our new addition to the family.
(She is reddish colored on the left side of the fish bowl.)
This little (male) Beta fish is as pinkalicious as can be with pink rocks and a pink treasure test in its fish bowl. Not to mention its name.

Campbell's class was discussing family trees at school, including family pets, and she was not pleased that she was the only kid in her class without a pet.

Back to School !!!

Campbell started back to school this week! She is going 3 days a week and is in the same class as her best friend Isabella. She LOVES school!

When I went to pick her up from school she was still asleep on her nap mat. I woke her up and she started crying. I was worried maybe she had had a bad day, but when I asked her why she was sad she said she didn't want to leave. I guess that's a good sign. ;)

Our little Mister turned 1 year old September 1st!! Oh how we love that guy!! He has developed quite the little personality and is just learning and growing and changing every day!!

His actual birthday was pretty pitiful. He got to go to the pediatrician on his birthday and we found out he had an ear infection, so he was feeling pretty crummy most of the day. We did stop and get some cupcakes from The Cupcakery on the way home to help celebrate. We ate dinner, sang Happy Birthday, let him have a few bites of cupcake, and then he went to bed, and Campbell and I went to her "Meet the Teacher" night at school.

We scrounged the house for some decorations the night before and made a birthday banner.

"Can I eat this?"

Here is what Cannon is up to at 1 year old!!!

He has been walking for about 3 weeks.
He has started climbing. Everything.
He LOVES his dad and only wants him most of the time.
Anytime he sees Kevin, he says, "Hi Da"
He has one long nap a day and goes to bed at 7.
His nicknames are Bubba and Cannonball. Lately I have been accidentally calling him Budda which is a mixture between Buddy and Bubba. It is kinda fitting though.
He LOVES balls. He can spot one anywhere.
He has started dancing when he hears music. He's got some pretty good moves.
He loves playing peek-a-boo, especially when he hides.
He has 2 blankies that he loves.
He loves being silly and making us laugh. He is such a ham.
He has started waking up without his pajama pants on. Just this morning, he decided to take it a step further and take his diaper off too! And it was poopy! Yuck! This better not happen again!
Two of his favorite thing are our broom and watering can.

An Incredible Birthday Party

We had a joint birthday party for Campbell and Cannon back in Oklahoma with all of our family and friends at Incredible Pizza. Our kids are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends that love them so much.

On a side note: Some of these pictures are mixed up. My sister shared a lot of her pictures with me, so all of the good quality pictures are hers. My camera was accidentally on a weird setting, so all of the bad quality, blurry pictures are mine.

Rainforest Cafe

We decided to take a little trip to Rainforest Cafe.

We had one happy girl...

and one happy boy. (with sleepy eyes since he had just woken up from a nap)

There were lots of freaked out kids, but all of the loud animal sounds didn't seem to bother Cannon or Campbell too much.

Cannon loved standing in front of this waterfall.

I think he started dancing. :)

The next series of pictures crack me up. Campbell was not too fond of this alligator I wanted her to pose in front of. She didn't want to take her eyes off of it.

My sweet friend, Mindee, treated Kevin and I to a night out by babysitting the kids for us. We couldn't thank her enough! Campbell LOVED having her babysit!

This little guy was supposed to be asleep, but he just couldn't miss out on the fun. He decided to wake up and join in. ;)

Our Fun Week

Lauren, Dillon, and Aiden came for a little visit last week so we took a trip to the aquatic center for some fun in the sun.
Campbell enjoyed a snowcone....

and Cannon enjoyed playing with a straw and a cup hangin' out in his stroller.

The stroller is crackin' me up. We should call it the "swimmin' wagon." It's all piled down with towels, bags, drinks, and snacks. :)

He was really concentrating on that straw and cup.

That evening while the guys played a little Top Golf, we took the kids to walk around some fun splash fountains and get some icecream.

We were waiting on a little fountain show to start. The fountains were choreographed to music and lit up different colors.

We had an awesome time with my sister, brother-in-law, and precious little nephew!!!

Had to add this sweet pic in too that I took when Mindee brought by some cake pops and adorable Hello Kitty birthday goodies for Campbell. :)

Campbell is 3!

This little girl turned 3 July 23rd, but we began celebrating a little early!

We saw Pops and Nams the weekend before her birthday, and they surprised her with a Tinkerbell watch a little early.

The Friday before her birthday, I took her to the nail salon to get her fingers and toes painted.

She was so cute and of course chose purple polish with a pink flower on each big toe.

It was so much fun and something I'm afraid she'll want to do more often. ;)

We took cupcakes to dinner with Peete, Bethany, Cru, and Presly Friday night and Campbell wore sponge curlers for the first time before we left for dinner.

Every little girl has to wear pink sponge curlers, right?! :)

Campbell had been saying for months that she wanted a Hello Kitty birthday so Friday night after she went to bed, I decorated the kitchen with Hello Kitty stuff.

We got her a Hello Kitty bike and princess helmet.

We made a Hello Kitty cake together on Friday. It turned out really cute!

She was surprised by her bike Saturday morning!

She obviously picked out her frog jammy top with monkey jammy pants herself.

She also opened another little dress she had picked out from us.

She rode her bike in a circle around the living room all day.

We're going to have a joint birthday party for Campbell and Cannon with friends and family in Oklahoma in August, so she didn't have a big party on her birthday. All she wanted to do was go to Build-A-Bear with her two best little friends that she goes to preschool and dance with.

They made Hello Kitty dolls. Campbell is stuffing her Hello Kitty.

Cannonball !!!

Cannon has turned into such a big boy!!! He is almost one and is SO much fun!!!

We had a hard time for a while getting him to drink from a sippy cup or eat more table food. He just loved his bottles. He is finally starting to eat better and loves water in his sippy cup. He LOVES nilla wafers and goes crazy if he even sees the box. He also likes waffles, apples, cheerios, apple jacks, crackers, and all kinds of baby food. We'll work on getting some more fruits, veggies, and protein on that list. :)

He only did the army crawl where he drags his body behind him on his tummy for the longest, but he has finally started crawling on his hands and knees from time to time. He can stand alone for a couple seconds at a time too.

He doesn't say many words yet, but he can definitely communicate what he wants through pointing and sounds. We think he does say "Momma" and "ba-ba"

Campbell has a pony that sings a song and you ride on and Cannon loves it. If we sing the song that the pony sings, he'll point to it and make some kind of sound that means he wants to ride it. :) He also always points to these polka dots on the wall that he likes to touch, and he always wants to grab this lamb that is in Campbell's room and then he throws it to the ground really hard every time. Just some funny little things that he does right now.

He is still very attached to Kevin and I and doesn't want to go to anyone else. He is especially loving his daddy right now and wants to go to him anytime he sees him.

He likes wrestling around with Kevin and climbing on his back. He also loves to stand up and play at the Dora play kitchen. He'll take the sink out and open and close the doors to the fridge and oven and push the buttons. He also likes to play with Campbell's Little People Dollhouse. I guess we need to get the kid some more boy toys. ;)

He still takes 2 naps a day on most days and sleeps about 10-12 hours a night.

He has 8 teeth.

4th of July Fun

Our fourth of July weekend started off with a trip to the Frisco Aquatic Center. It is like a mini waterpark, and Campbell had so much fun! Cannon had to try on Kevin's hat while we waited in line.

Campbell was ready for some fun in the sun!

We then headed to Stigler where we got to see grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course my mom, dad, brother, sister, and nephew. (poor Dillon was working hard at home) We enjoyed swimming and talking (mostly about Casey Anthony and the Bachelorette), golf for the guys, and a shrimp boil. We had a great time getting to see all of our family!

Cannon's First Haircut

Cannon's hair was looking really shaggy and a little out of control so we took him to get his hair cut. He went from looking like this.....

The scary thing is, we couldn't find her because she was not visible until we went around to the back of the table and found her like this in the chair.

Arbor Day Arbor Building

Kevin's dad and brother came into town to help build an arbor in our backyard. Nams and Ally came as well and we enjoyed our short and sweet visit with all of them. I thought it was pretty funny that Arbor Day was the Friday that they came in town to build the arbor. :)

Nams did lots of entertaining the little one's and even kept Cannon for me so that I could take Campbell to a birthday party.

They worked so hard and we love our new arbor! Gary and Chris, we can't thank you enough!

Cannon: 8 Months Old

Cannon turned 8 months old May 1st. This is what he's up to:

He takes 1-2 naps a day and goes to bed around 7.
He has 2 meals of baby food a day and has started eating some puffs. He really loves the puffs but hasn't really shown too much interest in other finger foods.
He has 5 teeth and the sixth tooth is just about to break through on the bottom. 2 more top teeth are really close to breaking through as well.
He can sit up really well as long as he doesn't reach too far for a toy.
He has started doing an army crawl.

Campbell's Highlight of the Week...

...is taking the trashcans to the curb on Monday nights. :)

She sits in the front seat of Kevin's car while he backs his car out of the garage so that he can get the trashcans out.

Then, she helps roll the trashcans to the curb.

We made a trip to my parents' Vineyard in Tamaha to see all of our family and help prune the vines for the summer, but first we had to stop by Granny's house to gather the eggs from her chickens.

Campbell loved playing with her cousin, Aiden, and riding her little Barbie scooter all over her the land. We laughed so hard when she asked Mimi where the backyard was. She was trying to figure out her boundaries and didn't realize she could ride her little scooter all over the land. :)

Aiden's tractor was about 10 times faster than Campbell's scooter, but she didn't mind one bit. She was totally content with her slow-moving little vehicle.

Campbell's precious little friend from preschool comes over after school 1 day a week. They just love each other and have so much fun together. We found them like this, playing in Campbell's bedroom the other day.

Cannon: 7 Months Old

Cannon turned 7 months old on April 1st. He is becoming less and less of a baby, but is still much more "baby" than Campbell was at this age. He finally decided he loves baby food, and he's been having one meal of baby food at dinner time each day. We're getting ready to add in a baby food breakfast as well.

If you were to stop by our house for a visit, you might find Cannon cruising around in this stroller. He likes to be held All. The. Time. and we get so tired of holding him all day so we've started putting him in his little umbrella stroller and pushing him around the house. He really enjoys it. :)

He figured out he can reach into this cabinet that holds all of the sippy cups and snack bowls.

He has figured out how to fight sleep lately too. He pulls out all the tricks like the fake cough, biting on the blanket to act like his teeth really hurt, the fish out of water trick where he arches his back and almost falls out of my arms, the look at mom and laugh trick, the throw in a little scream while he's crying trick, all of them. But then, if I give up and take him back out into the living room, everything is suddenly fine. Little trickster. :)

I wanted to document some of the little games and creative things that Campbell comes up with. I know she does a lot of the same things that other kids her age are doing, but I want her to be able to look back when she's older and see how she played.

She loves playdoh soooooo much. She comes up with some pretty creative designs.

On this particular day, she set up a blanket and a pillow for each of her dolls. She made Kevin participate as well. He's such a good sport. :)

Another thing that she loves doing right now is watching cooking videos on YouTube. She watches videos on my phone of Betty Crocker cooking segments showing how to bake children's cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. It cracks us up. Then she likes to pretend she is baking cakes with her playdoh and she'll say things like, "Let's spread the icing evenly" and "Now put it in the oven and bake for 45 minutes." Pretty sure she said something about using a pastry bag for the icing the other day too.

We had a fun little visit with Pops and Nams in Fort Worth on Sunday. They had taken the train that runs from OKC to Fort Worth with some friends for the weekend so we met up for lunch before they headed back to Oklahoma. We ate at a fun Mexican restaurant in downtown Fort Worth.

I think it's hilarious to look at the serious of pictures it takes to get one decent picture. Someone's usually not smiling or not looking at the camera. Kevin is snapping trying to get Cannon to look at the Camera and the windows were casting some strange shadows on our faces.

Spring Break

We had a fun spring break visit from Kevin's brother's family. We always have so much with Chris, Jen, Jake, and Ally! :)

Our sweet boy is 6 1/2 months old. We got a late start on solids, and he wanted nothing to do with rice cereal or oatmeal so we went straight to fruits and veggies. He's such a chunky monkey that I just knew he would love some real food, but he's not too crazy about solids in general. He's just so content with his bottle.

My Sweet Cannon

Oh how I love this little boy. He is almost 6 months old. This is what he's been up to lately:

He can't quite roll over yet, but we're working on it.
He's getting better and better at holding himself up when he's on his tummy. I've never been good at making my kids do tummy time, but we're trying to catch up.
He can't sit up by himself yet, but working on that too.
He likes to sit in the walker and in the "around we go". His feet touch the floor, but he can't really do much other than occasionally accidentally moving himself an inch or two.
He likes laying on his little play mat and trying to chew on the toys.
He wants EVERYTHING in his mouth and he is soooo slobbery. No teeth yet though.
I've tried rice cereal a couple of times and he does not like it. He won't even open his mouth for it once he tastes it. We'll have to try some new stuff soon.
When we are at home on our regular schedule, he goes to bed between 6:30 and 7:30 depending on when his last nap was. He usually wakes up around 10pm and I feed him another bottle and he goes right back to sleep until about 5am. Then he wakes up and has a bottle and usually goes back to bed about and hour - hour and half later.
He usually has 2 naps a day.
He loves watching Campbell play. She is our best form of entertainment. He wants to know where she is at all times.
He's becoming quite the little Momma's boy which I partly LOVE and partly makes me a little crazy when he only wants me. :)
He LOVES to scream/screech/yell/make your ears ring. It's kinda funny, but Campbell's always saying, "Cannon, stop screechin'."
He's a BIG boy. He's wearing 9 month clothes and some of them are a little snug.
We absolutely adore this little (big) boy!

This is one of Campbell's new favorite things to do. She gets out all of her stuffed animals and baby dolls (she refers to them as her "friends"), and lines them up. Then she either sings to them or reads books to them.

Poor Kevin. He's such a good sport. She was piling everything up on top of him for some reason. :)

She added the umbrella for a nice finishing touch.

Once all of the snow was gone except for a little on our patio, Campbell decided to check it out....with her umbrella of course.

On Friday we decided to take advantage of the warm weather and make a little visit to our neighborhood playground. Campbell was so happy to get to play outside. Cannon enjoyed spending sometime outside as well. :)

These pictures are so funny to me with this little man in his green dinosaur shirt on in such a pink girly room.

This is Campbell's masterpiece. This girl LOVES her some playdoh. She rolled out some playdoh and poked several holes in it and then added one little puffy ball that you use for crafts to each one. Then for some reason she likes to stick the playdoh to our windows. Lovely. I do give her an A+ for creativity. :)

Pajama Day and Fort Building

Campbell had Pajama Day at school and we were shocked that she would go to school in her pj's. She's the type of kid that thinks about things way too much for a 2 year old, and would be like, "you're not supposed to wear pajamas to school", and then refuse to wear them. But to our surprise she wore them AND her Abby Cadabby houseshoes.

The other night I came into the living room after putting Cannon to bed to find this. A lovely little fort built in our living room. It makes me smile because I remember when Campbell was a baby, Kevin would say, "I can't wait til we can build forts and make tents when she's older." What a fun daddy. :)

Campbell LOVES her baby brother. She is so sweet to him. She gives him toys and always wants to know where he is. Whenever he wakes up, whether it's morning, noon, or night, she always says, "Good Mordin Cannon." She usually calls him Bubba, which I think is too cute. The other morning she was rubbing his head saying, "He's a sweet boy Momma."

Poor guy doesn't know he's sitting in a purple Bumbo. :)

Campbell still wants to be a baby sometimes too. :)

4 Months Old

I love this little guy soooo much. I really just want to freeze him at this age. He's so cuddly, and smiley, and precious, and I could go on and on. He had to try out his new chair he got for Christmas.

Campbell enjoys pushing Cannon around in her old walker. He really likes it to. He LOVES his big sister so much. If he hears her, he wants to be where she is. He just watches her all day long, and the slightest little thing she does makes him laugh. She is his built in entertainment.

Christmas 2010

We started our Christmas celebrations Thursday morning at our house. Santa came to our house Wednesday night since we would be out of town Christmas Eve.Santa got Campbell a drum set so now she can be just like Marena on Fresh Beat Band.

Our next Christmas celebration was Christmas morning at my parents' house.

We have had a very eventful month! Here are a TON of pictures of what we've been up to. :)

We finally converted Campbell's crib. She has been sleeping in our bed for a couple of months so we were very excited to get this done! I was less than optimistic that she would sleep in there, but she has been doing a great job. She usually comes to our bed in the middle of the night, but I'm thankful she is atleast starting out in her own bed.

We attempted to go to the Christmas Train with my parents one weekend, and it was so so so unbearably cold. We never made it on the train, but we enjoyed some carousel rides, pony rides, playground, and dinner before we couldn't take the freezing temps any longer.
