Easter at the Dallas Zoo

We attended Easter church service on Saturday evening so we decided to go to the Dallas Zoo on Sunday. We got up early and made it to the zoo right around the time it opened. It was a nice overcast day, and it wasn't crowded at all. Just perfect for our zoo day!

It started to rain just as we were stopping for a little lunch break. The rain stopped just as we were finished eating, and held off long enough for us to enjoy a little more time at the zoo.

Easter Egg Hunt 2012

This was our third year to go to the Lighthouse Easter Egg Hunt, and we always have fun. Cannon got to participate in his own egg hunt this year, and he was too cute.  He wasn't concerned with getting a whole bunch of eggs. He just wanted to open each egg as he found it and see what was inside.

We ran into Montana and Maddox from Campbell's class and she enjoyed playing with them.

Cannon did not want to stop swinging.

Campbell started out only picking pink and purple eggs, but finally decided the other colored eggs were fine too.

That night we decorated eggs after Cannon went to bed.

Campbell takes this stuff seriously. ;)
