Clapping, Restaraunts, Books, and Eggs

Our sweet girl decided to start clapping yesterday. No huge milestone, but we think it's pretty cool. Kevin left yesterday for a business trip, and Cam and I are leaving in the morning for a much needed visit to Oklahoma. We've really been working with Campbell on waving, clapping, and crawling. I told Kevin that by the time we see him again, she'll be doing all three. Not 4 hours after he left on his trip, she started clapping out of the blue. 1 down, 2 to go! _______________________________________
These pictures have nothing to do with the clapping story. Just some randoms from the last couple of days. _________________________________________________________
Enjoying some puffs while out to eat. She was a NIGHTMARE to take to restaraunt for several months, but lately she has been fabulous each time we've gone out to eat.

She's been really into looking at her books lately. Granted she doesn't want me to READ them to her or anything. She just likes to look at them and pull off all of the cute little pop-up things on the pages. Stinker!!!

We've been putting together Easter eggs for our church so Campbell has been surrounded by eggs!!! She likes to dump them all out of the box and then kick them all around. I say that she's scrambling the eggs. (hardy har har - mom joke) ;-)

More eggs!!!

Not the Right Two Front Teeth!

So you've probably seen these two little bottom teeth that Campbell has had since she was 4 months old. And she should be getting those top two front teeth in any day now, right?
Well, Campbell is getting the two teeth OUTSIDE of her two front teeth first. You can see the one on the left has broken through, and the one on the right is close.
That's right, she'll look like she has two little fangs.
Cute little fangs of course. :)
And have you seen this kid's hair? It stands straight up in the back and we can't seem to get it to lay down!

8 Months Old

Campbell is 8 months old and 8 times the fun!!! She is so stinkin' smart and amazes us every day. Here are a few things I want to remember about Cam at 8 months.

Can I tell you how much this kid LOVES her dad? If he isn't home when she wakes up from a nap, she is looking around every corner for him. When he IS home, she wants to be playing with him at all times. Kevin didn't believe me that she goes nuts for him, and he thought it was just my ploy to get him to hold her. Yeah right!!! She wears me out wanting to find him wherever he is in the house and is only happy when we are with him. I think he finally believes me now because tonight when he had to leave to go to a dinner program she started bawling when he had to give her back to me and then kept reaching for him. Now, don't get me wrong. She loves me too and I seriously take no offense to this. She is just with me all. day. long. and never has to worry about me leaving to go to work and not being back for a while. Atleast this is what I tell myself! just kidding.

She is getting really good at feeding herself her little Puff snacks. They're kinda like cheerios but they dissolve really fast so she can't choke on them.

She loves to sleep on her side and prop her legs up on her bumper in her crib. She also works her way up into the corner of her crib and snuggles up against her bumper.

She can't crawl yet but we're working on it. She can sit up from a laying down position.

Diaper changes have become a nightmare. It is a wrestling match to keep her laying down and get her diaper on her.

Campbell's "Playroom"

This is a view of Campbell's "playroom" from our stairs. If you think it looks alot like our living room, you're right. They are one in the same, and she has taken it over!!! This is where we spend most of our time at home during the day. The rug on the hard floors was not very comfy to roll around on so we put down an old egg crate to make it softer. It's a little random, but it does the job.

St. Patrick's Day Trip to the Wild Animal Park

We visited the Wild Animal Park for the first time on Tuesday. It was beautiful weather and one of the warmest days of the year. We only saw about 1/4 of what the park has to offer, so we look forward to going back again and seeing more!

This thing carries people up extremely high in the air to look out over the park.
The key part of this picture is the 3 gorrillas in the background. They were throwing apples down to them to eat.

This guy drew a caricature of Campbell.
She kept trying to peek around the corner to see what he was doing.
This is how it turned out.
Posing on the hippo.
This was her first time to ride on the carousel. Her face doesn't show it, but she LOVED it!!!

In the car and ready to go home after a hot and tiring day. She was asleep about 2.2 seconds after this picture.

Lloyd Christmas

This is the aftermath of washing her hair with the little bath visor pictured in the post below. She looks like she has a Lloyd Christmas haircut from the movie Dumb and Dumber!!!! :)

No More Tears

Campbell now has this lovely little hat to wear when I wash her hair to keep the water out of her eyes. What a great $3 investment!
